I saw this quote the other day while perusing the internet and it really got me thinking about what kind of man did I mean to be so that I can try and teach Henry. This required me to do a little self-analysis and see where I could be better. I came up with a long list of areas that I felt that I could improve1, some were relevant and some were not. Without further ado here is my wish list of qualities that I wish for Henry.
I hope he is not afraid to make the unpopular decision, not just for the sake of making waves but because it is what he believes in.
I hope he learns to balance his present desires with futures wants.
I hope he learns not to take on too much.
I hope he learns the value of verbal communication1.
I actually enjoyed completing this exercise, I am young enough that there is still time for me to learn some of these skills as well. The best way to teach someone something is to show them.
